Hsuan-hua Chang is no stranger to NFC technology. She is the author of the book Everyday NFC: Near Field Communication Explained. As an executive coach, Hsuan-hua Chang shares her extensive experience with business leaders by combining her knowledge of enterprise technology with professional business coaching strategies. Her judging experience includes the A T & T Developer Program.
Lisa Seacat DeLuca
IBM Distinguished Engineer
Lisa Seacat DeLuca is a Distinguished Engineer for IBM Watson Internet of Things where she leads a team called the App Factory, focused on bringing IoT use cases to market. This year Lisa was inducted into the Women in Technology International (WITI) Hall of Fame and received an honorary Ph.D. from Claremont Graduate University. In 2016, Lisa was named one of the Most Influential Women in IoT. She was named one of MIT’s 35 Innovators Under 35 in 2015, as well as, LinkedIn’s NextWave of 10 Enterprise Technologists Under 35, and one of Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in Business. She is a TED speaker and a self-published author of two children’s books titled "A Robot Story" and “The Internet of Mysterious Things.”
Dean Anthony Gratton
A technology futurist and columnist
A technology futurist and influencer, Dr. Dean Anthony Gratton comes from a background in wireless communications spanning over twenty years. He is currently authoring a book on NFC, expected out next year. Dean has created prototypes and developed new products for the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data and Industry 4.0; the Connected/Smart Home/Cities and Commercial automation; the Smart Metering and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) industries; the infotainment and automotive sectors; and he has worked with technologies such as LoRa/SigFox, Powerline, Bluetooth, ZigBee, Wi-Fi; EnOcean, Z-Wave and NFC/RFID; as well as VoIP, DVB, IPTV, DigitalTV and Femtocells.
Will Hernandez has more than 15 years of experience ranging from newspapers to wire services and trade publications. Before becoming Editor of Mobile Payments Today, he spent two years as the content manager for PaymentsJournal.com, a leading payments industry news aggregator and information hub published by Mercator Advisory Group. He spent four years covering the payments industry as an associate editor for multiple publications in SourceMedia’s Payments Group based in Chicago including ATM&Debit News, CardLine, PaymentsSource.com, ISO&Agent Weekly and American Banker.
Richard G. Hopf
Richard knows a thing or two about to build compelling NFC-enabled products. He is the CTO of SpeechCode - the winner of the Most Innovative Product, Service or Implementation in the 2017 NFC Innovation Award Program. Richard has been an IT architect for 25 years and has developed over 260 IT projects for over 150 international clients of various industry segments.
In his role as Principal Analyst, Ryan Martin covers new and emerging transformative technologies, including augmented reality (AR), analytics, and the Internet of Things (IoT). He currently leads the firm’s Smart Manufacturing and Enterprise IoT research. Ryan has been a judge for GSMA Glomo Awards and CES Innovation Awards.

Pierre Métivier shares his passion for NFC in a blog called Avec ou Sans Contact. He is also the author of the book Le mobile NFC: Télécommande de notre quotidien. Pierre's industry experience includes managing Forum SMSC, a French association aiming at the deployment of NFC mobile services in France. In this role, he has participated in numerous conferences, panels, TV, and radio shows, including the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Claire Swedberg spends much of her days talking with end users, vendors and analysts about the RFID industry and technology.She has experience as a judge in RFID Journal "coolest demos" and RFID Journal best products for 2017.

Vinnett has spent her career acting as entrepreneurial and commercial lead of multi-million £ partnerships opportunities and has a long successful track record of first to market launches. She is a Non-Executive and mentors and invests in several start-ups from Cloud security and video surveillance, delivering machine learning and artificial intelligence to Smart Connected Thermostats. Currently, Vinnett is Head of Internet of Things (IoT) at O2, Telefonica UK, where she leads a dedicated team.

Junko Yoshida is an industry leader in the connected electronics space, with significant familiarity with NFC technology. Her professional experiences are truly global and multi-cultural (and multi-lingual). Her focus has been in consumer electronics, automotive, semiconductors, in emerging technologies and intellectual property, with a working knowledge of how business strategies enable companies in these areas to succeed and go global. Past judge panel experience includes the ACE Awards.
